EVENT - MUSHIN DYC MAKES HISTORY, SET TO HOST ECWA'S FIRST-EVER ONLINE CONFERENCE

The Mushin District Youth Council (MDYC) of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) is set to make history with ECWA's first-ever (known) online conference.

From Thursday, 23 - Saturday, 25 July, 2020, ECWA sons and daughters from all over the world will be able to join the live broadcasts on designated social media platforms.

This online conference tagged 'Empowered by the Spirit' became necessary following the outbreak of the novel Covid-19 pandemic which has made large gatherings impossible for the unforeseeable future.

Ayo Oluduro, Chairman of the Camp Planning Committee (CPC), while briefing the youths on the level of preparations, noted that the digitization of the conference this year, although unprecedented, is a step in the right direction.

He explained that since most of the youths are frequently on the social media, it is just perfect to have an event which can engage them while they're surfing the internet.

Mr. Oluduro noted that the CPC envisages challenges with data for members of the MDYC to stream live events, but this poses little threat to the success of the event, especially since most of them are social media savvy.

The CPC Chairman, therefore, called on ECWA sons and daughters, as well as everyone else - especially our kins in faith - to join hands together and ensure the conference turns out a huge success.

"This is the first of its kind, and we know people are not used to this yet, but I can assure everyone who 'attends' that this will be worth every time spent and data used.

"Interestingly, if you're the busy type, you can just connect through the Mixlr and plug in (a headset or earpod) while working.

"It's that seamless," he explained.

Some of the programmes listed for the event include: Red Flags in Relationships, Identity Crisis, Bible Study, ECWA Past, Present & Future, among others.
